We are using Dynamics CRM 2013.
For a list of Contacts I want to be able to go through and create a Custom Entity record for each one. And I want a custom value to be setup in the custom entity record, not just the default value.
However I want this procedure to be flexible and I want non-technical users to be able to perform this task. Ideally I want the user to be able to select the custom value from a dropdown menu, then it goes and creates all the records for the list of Contacts, all with that value which was selected.
So far, I have found 2 ways of doing this:
1) Setup a Workflow to create a record for each Contact. However the issue with this is that I have to hard-code the value for those records.
2) Setup a Dialog, this allows the user to select the Value from a drop down menu. However Dialog cannot be run on more than 1 Contact record at a time.
Is there a way to combine these 2 approaches? Is there a way to run a Dialog on a whole list of Contacts, and not just 1 at a time?
