Users Entering Data in an Invisible Field - Dynamics CRM 2011

Our customers are creating new Contact records via a Custom Form in CRM. The form was built using the Form Editor in CRM with a mix of custom and out-of-the-box CRM fields.

We currently do NOT display "Address 1: Name" on this Contact form (nor any of the Contact forms in the system). However, we are seeing users creating Contact records with data stored into this field. The users are accessing the CRM site via a laptop and it is assumed the user is using Internet Explorer 9 through 11 (there are multiple users creating this data).

I have confirmd the users are creating the data as individual records (not via an Import), so I am unsure how they are typing data into a field they cannot see.

Can anyone provide any information which could explain this?
