Using Dynamics CRM 2013 on-premise.
I work for a software company, and most of the products we sell include an annual subscription fee for support resources. So Product X is $1000 + a subscription fee of $150. Since the Price List Items entity can't be customized (for example, I can't add a field for "Subscription Fee"), I'm wondering what others have done to handle similar issues. In price quotes I need to have separate line items for the product and subscription fees, so just adding the 2 amounts together is not an option.
Any ideas, other than creating a custom entity? My current plan is to create separate products to handle the fee. So I would have "Product X" as one product and "Product X Subscription" as another. But I'm hoping someone here has a better idea! :-)
