We have a number of custom workflows deployed to our on-premise CRM installation which are in turn referenced by various processes (Dialogs and Workflows). We have thus far been using a deployment project to deploy updated workflow dlls.
Unfortunately, the process is extremely cumbersome due to the fact that we can't deploy a workflow assembly that is referenced by an existing process. We work around this by deactivating and deleting each process, then recreating them. We have a large number of organizations so this task is, to put it mildly, impractical.
I feel like there is something basic that we're missing. How do you deploy an updated version of a workflow assembly when there are existing processes that reference the assembly?
