'Next Stage' button click validation in a Business Process Flow.

Hi All ,

Is it possible to restrict users to click on 'Next Stage' button in Business Process Flow ?

There is a user look up on a Lead (Custom entity) form .The user ,who is selected in this look up, only should be allowed to click on 'Next Stage' Button.Can this be achieved OOB with out any extensions ?
