I have just received the source code for our quote module, originally created on Visual Studio 2012 but I have now got it running on 2010.
Now previously when the external company who developed this module made modifications to it they uploaded it to a managed solution, now obviously I cannot upload it to their managed solution but if I create a new managed solution on our 'QA' server (we have three servers "Test", "QA" and "Live") and upload it to there is this all I need to do? -Being dum how will cRM know this is the new quote module to use?
I am asking here as I am not in a position to be able to ask the company who developed the software if this is the correct procedure - but as this is something I haven't done before I am loathe to do something that may upset things.
The module is also written utilising MVVM what is the best way to get started with this as it looks quite alien to me at the moment. The change I am looking to make is fairly minor but it is the unknown that is worrying me.
