CRM 2011 - Passing Parameter into Contact Quick Search

Hi,

I have the following requirement, can anyone advise if it is technically possible.

1. My client has deployed IP telephony system.

2. When the phone ring, when agent desktop software is able to identify the incoming Caller ID (phone number)

3. Is it possible to pass the Caller ID directly into the Contact Entity Quick Search? So that system can show the search result, where contacts have the phone number?
