CRM 4 - Retrieve Fiscal Year Settings through JavaScript

Hi all, 

I have a requirement where I need to use the Start Date specified in the Fiscal Year Settings (under Business Management) as part of a calculation on the Opportunity form. I don't know of a way to access these settings through JavaScript, so I would very much appreciate it if someone could shed some light on whether or not its actually possible and how to do it if it is.
