I have a requirement where on the opportunity I have 4 text fields , those text fields are basically a filter criteria . Depending on the filter criteria I need to run a plugin which retreives a set of records from eg: a product catalog entity and copies those records to the opportunity product line entity.
Let me give you an example of the senario:-
I create an opportunity . I fill up those four text fields which would be my filter criteria. May be if i clicked on save(am not sure where to trigger the event from!)
If product catalog had 10 records depending upon the filter criteria the plugin would have to retrieve those 10 records from product catalog entity and copy them to opportunity product line .
I also have to do this on existing opportunity.
Iam not sure what pluggin message I would have to use and when this pluggin would be triggered . Would i register this plugin against the opportunity entity ?
If i could get a step by step guide I would really appreciate your help. If there are any similar examples that would be great too .
