Case Resolutions and Contracts

i have just noticed a issue on CRM 2011 on-prem when we have a case against a time contract we have resolved the case and the hours are deducted from the contract as you would expect.

i had to cancel a call resolution and i noticed the time was not added back to the contract, has anyone had anything like this ? or know a work around so when a call resolution is canceled or deleted the hours get added back to the contract
