I am developing a process that picks up files uploaded through CRM file upload control(this resides in an iframe).
Basically, I have a form with fields that take file name and such details.. and then an iframe with file upload control to upload files and those files gets stored in a folder on a server. Now, the user has to click save on the form to save that record with file information. This is where I am losing connection between the file and the record that contains file details. I am not sure how to connect them together, so that I can update the status of the file to that record.

I tried to pick the file name from iframe and populate in the form field when form is saved but that file name might not be unique and could cause ambiguity. How do I design this feature properly. Can somebody please point me right direction? I want some
connection between the form and iframe so that I can update the record at later point using that connection.
