Hello - I'm going to be starting a new CRM project where the client needs me to hit the ground running. The client will need me to install CRM for my local environment and I'm assuming other environments as well.
I'm coming off my first CRM project (6 months) and I feel I can hack it as a CRM developer. However, I've never installed a CRM environment. I got the impression on my first CRM project that installing CRM was potentially complex/tricky. I'm not sure how much of this may have been due to external environmental factors or lack of experience of the guy who did the installs.
So I wanted to get your feedback if you have any experience installing CRM. How complex is a plain vanilla install of CRM? Is a plain vanilla install of CRM a typical scenario? Or have you found that CRM installs often end up becoming more complex/trickier than expected? As a reference point, I consider a local install of VS2010 to be "plain vanilla." I can pretty much accept all defaults and keep clicking the Next button and let the installer do its thing.
