Connecting an E-Commerce solution with Microsoft Dynamics AX

Hello all, I'm creating an ecommerce solution based on NopCommerce. There's already a NopCommerce add-on for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, but it's for a very outdated version of NopCommerce.

I've read about connectors, but I'm unsure if any would work with a non-msft-related product (common .NET website).
Do you have any recommendations?
