Good Morning,
Wondering if anyone has some experience in this.
We're trying to add Professional Services and Licenses to quoting tools.
I've got 2 issues I can't resolve.
1. When I create a quote with different price lists, using volume discounts for licensing only, I then say want to manually discount licenses, when I do that I use the Quote Discount (%), it discounts my entire quote. Can I change that to only discount the license fees? Perhaps adding a new field for each of my products in the product list called "Discount allowed"?
Then, do I re-write the Quote Discount % and Total Amount fields using Jscript (saw this somewhere else).
That's my first issue, I tried setting the product and subject to Sales Inventory and Service for their respective product types as well.
2. I have 2 dimensional price lists, example:
Total Bought: | 1-50 | 51-100 | 101-200 | 201-500 | 501+
Discount | 0% | 4% | 8% | 12% | 15%
Month to month | 0% | $50 | $48 | $46 | $44 | $43 |
1 Year Contract | 20% | $40 | $38 | $37 | $35 | $34 |
2 Year Contract | 25% | $37.50 | $36.00 | $34.50 | $33.00 | $31.88 |
3 Year Contract | 30% | $35.00 | $33.60 | $32.20 | $30.80 | $29.75 |
Using Volume Discount I can accomplish the 0,4,8,12, and 15% discounts.
I can't figure out how to apply the 1-3 year or Month to Month discount though without having multiple price lists (and this would not work), as I would like to actively modify a quote amount by offering "1 Year Contract" without having to re-add products using another Price List.
Does anyone have any solutions or experience in trying to accomplish such a feat?!
Appreciate the responses and help!
Thanks,
Kyle.
